I grew up in NYC (Manhattan), the first coin move I learned was the BoBo switch (that book was a major learning experience for me. Needless to say living that close to Coney Island getting to the penny machine was a breeze. I still have about a dozen or so I keep in a magic memory chest. By the way, one time I had placed a penny in the machine and after it was stretched out I noticed that a mark that had been on the penny had stretched out as well. Long before I had read anything on using signed objects it occurred to me that I could borrow a coin make a mark on it (an x is what I used) and then BoBo switched it out and handed the spectator back their stretched out coin with the stretched out x. I have wonderful memories of the look on people’s faces when I would give them back their marked coin.

What a great way to turn a phrase “nickle and dime the quarter to death”.

I need something to get me started as well. Half the time, Jason’s drawing is what created the momentum. Other times, just the name of the trick is enough. Other times, I have writers block for weeks.

@Jeff – I envy your crazy imagination, I can come up with stuff but I need someone to get me going. That an I can carry on complete conversations entirely in movie quotes. Again proof of my lack of a life.

Thanks guys. Nice pun from Salmononius. By the way, would you believe that every single saga story is a first draft! I just sat down and literally wrote whatever came into my head. I only edited for typos. That’s why some of them are just plain crazy.

Until this one, I thought the ‘coin’ stories weren’t that good, but now the change is starting to add up.
