@OZ – Dude, I can’t tell you how many notes I have in my journal like this: “Effect: Linking Ring on Spectator’s Earring . . . no method yet.” Some of those notes ultimately did turn into effects.

It is like a friend of mine once said, “If nothing happens, then nothing happens.” “It is like swinging a chicken around in Chicago, your bound to hit someone.” The last one was in reference to contacting a prospect but I think it could fit with being active with creating your own magic.

I couldn’t agree more, action is the key. I don’t know how many years of my life were wasted hoping and wishing for things to happen while not doing anything to make them happen. In life, see the goal, and make it happen. In magic see the effect, and make he method. As Sankey says in ‘Create your own magic’ – Effect before Method.

In step one you could start with questions that look at the beginning of your trick or at the final outcome at the end. Or go for both and in between.
