@Phil – Excellent point man . . . That drives me crazy as well. The other one related to that is the old “nobody’s ever done it that well!” Fine . . . it might have been funny the first time someone used it, but at this point, it’s someone else’s joke . . . be original folks. I think you forgot the phrase “you can see this is a perfectly normal deck of cards” – like anyone would consider there was an abnormal deck!

And my pet peeve is when I see a magician ask a spectator to sign a card “that’s fantastic/superb/awesome” – no it isn’t – they’ve just signed their name. Mount Rushmore, the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben are awesome!
