Excellent Point. For my stand up show, I have a big huge sign that attaches to my case that says “SLOW DOWN!” It’s a constant reminder during my act.

I think it is also worth mentioning pacing is very important as well. Well placed pauses to give your audience a chance to absorb everything and enjoy the magic moments are a must. I know sometimes I get nervous when performing and go way too fast, in many cases I think it has ruined otherwise well scripted and well rehearsed routines.
