Both went to great lengths to stress that the benefits well out weigh the cost.

I’m aware of those and have even used them before. The reason I didn’t bring them up is because I really like the idea of handing over what looks like a movie DVD, case and all.

Again, however, as I mentioned, I’ve not tried this, so it might suck. 🙂

The trays on players and DVD drives have an inner ring where the 8 cm disc is centered for loading in the player. Most slot loading players cannot use this format

you have an auto-loading DVD player or other auto-loading device and it is designed specifically to play both DVDs and mini DVDs, you can simply insert the mini DVD directly into the player. The device will load it automatically without you needing to do anything else. These are wiidely available e.g from office suppliers like Staples. You can design cd artwork to fit on the centre of the disk with a number of programs and again blanks can be bought at office suppliers fairly cheaply
