@Richard – Sorry about that. That was a typo. It’s the “Wink” change. You can find it on McBride’s Art of Card Manipulation Volume I.

I thought I new Timothy’s work, but I do not know the Wenk change. Can you direct me to a video where I can see it in action. So long of course that no professional ethics are trashed (Wenk, Wenk, sorry meant wink, wink), LOL

@Richard – Thanks. I know the color change you’re talking about. I love that one. Also, another favorite that has a similar feel is the Wenk change.

I like it because as far as the spectator knows one hand is holding half the deck and the other hand is holding the other half, so “it must be magic”. I do a color change taught to me by Doug Edwards years ago that still plays well. One hand holds the deck horizontally the other hand (fingers seperated) makes a magical wave over the face card and it changes, very visual.

@Scar – Thanks man. That’s my favorite effect with the photos. I think I’ll be doing that with all future photos for the site.

The motivation would be that the you will fan the selection and make it disappear – start by resting the outer edge of fan on the right edge of the left hand packet – move the fan form side to side while you position the stolen card – once it is square make larger movements to the point where you are using the fan as a ‘fan’ to apparently blow away the card. either show it has vanished, or apparently give up and square the fan on top and then Mercury card fold steal or bottom palm and produce from wherever you like
