Haunted Again - Is This the End of the Magazine?

Beware of Stone Cold Magic Magazine You may notice that the site is haunted again . . . beware of Black Cats, Bats, Ghosts and much more. Mental Book So . . . slow cometh the mentalism book. I’ve made a little progress and have received some excellent feedback from my team, but we’ve still got a long way to go. I’m hoping to finish before Christmas! Humongous Project I’m sure this will annoy many of you, but I’m puttin’ it out anyway. Next year, I will be undertaking a massive project. So massive that it may actually replace Stone [...]

No Gnews Is Good Gnews With Gary Gnu

Yep . . . it looks like Gary and I have something in common . . . nothing to report. I mean, I could go on about how I’m still working on my latest book . . . or how . . . well, I guess that’s it. Enjoy the September 2011 issue of Stone Cold Magic Magazine.

Check it out here: Stone Frixion Fire Brain Dump Currently the working title on my latest book project is Brain Dump. New E-Book On The Way!

New E-Book From Jeff Stone Thank you (both of you) for all of the inquiries about when my next project will be out. I still can’t answer that question, but I can tell you that it will be another e-book. Those seem to strike a nerve with a majority of my loyal subscribers. Additionally, I can tell you this. It’s already in the works and I’m hoping to release it with a month or 2 (but you never know). Additionally, I’ve received permission to publish my modification of a Larry Becker effect (Ace Revisited) as well as my handling on [...]

Ironic Baby, Dead Thieves and Infections

Ironic Baby Well . . . April was a long month and a lot of exciting things happened, and most of them were very magical . . . First as you, likely, know, our daughter Oliveah was born on April 11. We later discovered that her name means “peace.” However, her middle name, Gail (named after grandma), means “Spirited One.” Thus her name basically means “Peaceful Spirited One.” Her nick-name is Irony . . . It’s also, Livey, Liv, Olive, Liveah, and Little O. You can see how cute she is on facebook. Dead Thieves I’ve got my Google account [...]

Eye Dee Ten Tea

Sound it out . . . Eye Dee Ten Tea . . . It could also be written like this: I D 10 T  . . . sounds like “Eye Dee Ten Tea” but looks like “IDIOT.” That’s a disease many people suffer from . . . Eye Dee Ten Tea. I’m no exception. Last year (2009), I invested a lot of money in my business. I spent a lot of money on advertising, marketing, product, travel, etc . . . I often spent money during periods of slow sales and slow gigs. That’s not so bad, but what makes [...]

How to Create Magic

It’s a fish . . . now it’s a car . . . it’s a boot now. Now it’s becoming a pillow . . . What, you may wonder, in the world is Jeff talking about. The above monologue is actually a quote from my 8 year old nephew. I was driving him over to our house, and he was sitting there in the front seat rambling on about a fish and a car, etc. I looked over at him and his eyes were closed. I asked him what he was talking about. He told me that when he closes [...]

Evil Has Infiltrated Stone Cold Magic Yep. You heard it hear first folks. Jeff Stone’s latest product, Stone Frixion Fire, is a product of the Devil. Now you can “like” an article and comment on it, and it will automatically be shared with all your Facebook friends. You can also, just with the click of a button, tweet [...]

Better Late Than Never So this month, the first obvious bit of news is that this is the first time in recorded history that an issue of Stone Cold Magic Magazine didn’t get out the door by the end of the month . . . sorry folks . . . it’s been crazy around here. Between keeping up with orders of my Frixion DVD and keepin’ up with my web projects, I’ve been slammed, not to mention my ecclesiastical responsibilities, and – oh yeah – I have a family . . . Oh wait, and my wife and I just [...]

Banding the Ultimate Siamese Reality

Michael Paul’s Reality Check Bill Goodwin’s Siamese Twins Russell Leeds’s More Banding Around Tony Giorgio’s The Ultimate Work Michael Paul’s – Reality Check (MSRP: $27.00) Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: The Price of Love By Bon Jovi Three tricks for 27 bucks . . . that’s 9 bucks each. The question is would these be able to sell individually for $9.00 each. My guess is no (my math teacher was right – I do use math everyday). However, these are really good effects . . . however, the production quality was pretty rough. The lighting was really bad and [...]

This month I played and I mean played with a new twist on the Las Vegas Leaper by Paul Harris.  The version is Shimshi’s 10-13-20. I was never a fan of the Las Vegas Leaper because it seemed pointless to me considering it has no plot to speak of.  Well neither does 10-13-20 however that didn’t stop me from having some real fun with it. Jeffro pointed out that there were two additions by Shimshi.  He felt that one detracted from the effect.  I completely disagree.  There is one point in the effect where you slap the table in front [...]
